Directions

Season the tri-tip with salt, pepper, and garlic powder.

Smoke the tri-tip at 250°F– 275°F (121°C– 135°C), until it reaches an internal temperature of 125°F (52°C).

For the perfect crust, sear the steak over high heat for 1 minute on each side.
